i remember 2016

You’re looking at an iPhone screenshot of the final presidential vote forecast before November 8th. Note who was projected to win. We all know how that really turned out, and we’ve been living the nightmare ever since.

Every news site I followed during that season projected Clinton as the winner. When the horrible truth hit later that night, I stopped following them all, including 538. Every last one. I keep this screenshot to remind me to never believe anything with regards to forecasts, and to never take anything for granted.

We cannot afford another repeat of 2016. Not only do we have to remove Trump, but we have to drive a stake into the fetid heart of Trumpism. That includes taking the Senate as well as the White House, and keeping the House of Representatives. Not only is Trump unfit and unqualified to lead, but so is just about everyone in the Republican party.

My God, what a horrid four years we’ve been subjected to by the idiot and his followers.

pandemic week 12 — war zone

When Donald Trump came out of hiding this week, he didn’t do it to bring us together or heal the nation.

He wasn’t there to offer words of calm and comfort.

Instead, he became what we always feared.

Evoked the worst of our past.

Threatened our governors and states.

He ordered our own soldiers who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan to flood the streets, instructing them to turn against Americans.

Used churches and the Holy Bible as political props.

He didn’t invoke the Lord to give us wisdom but to boost his polls.

Ordered an attack on unarmed protestors using gas, rubber bullets, and flash grenades.

Washington transformed into a war zone for this coward.

This is a time for choosing.

America or Trump.
